The Richards merge with Greater
Love
Eddie and Sherry joined Greater Love the first of May,
'08, bringing a new, fresh, exciting mix to what was a male quartet.
They also bring years of experience and talent along with their love
for the Lord in which is so clearly conveyed thru their
personalities.
Singing Lead, Eddie is also a song writer. While growing up singing
tunes of B.J. Thomas, he began seriously singing later in life
always knowing singing would be a huge part of what he would
ultimately do. He married Sherry in 1984 and they began their
ministry "The Richards". The couple have shared many concerts with
such great icons, The Hinsons, Karen Peck, The Hoppers, The Dixie
Melody Boys and many others.
Sherry Richards is an ultimate alto which comes from a long line of
musicians in her family. At age 8, she was traveling and singing
with her family, The Jimmy Meador Family, so singing has always been
her life. She and Eddie sang with the Nippers in 1984 and since that
time, she and Eddie have been a duo. Sherry also occasionally fills
in with The Hoppers when Connie is unable to appear. Besides
performing, Sherry plays piano, teaches harmony parts and helps
write the music to the songs her husband pens. Her life long desire
is to sing and witness to people who are hurting or just need
encouraging. |
